In a public notice on Friday 14th Sep 2018, MCI stated it was giving a one-time exemption to those who did not register or appear for NEET 2018 and who wanted to study MBBS equivalent course abroad. These students need to furnish an undertaking that they had not registered or appeared for2018 to get the required eligibility certificate from the council. The notice further stated the council could verify from CBSE whether the undertaking was genuine or not. If found to be fake or false, appropriate action, including cancellation of eligibility certificate, would be taken against the candidate.
The health ministry in consultation with the Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided that in the current academic year i.e 2018-19, Indian students are free to go abroad to study medicine if they did not take NEET, but if they did appear for the entrance exam and did not get qualifying marks, they would not be eligible.
This Notice only for those medical aspirants those who not appear in NEET or no Apply For NEET 2018.
